The USMS has initiated a project to install ballistic-resistant windows in the Judge's Chambers located on the first floor of the William Guy Federal Building. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. PoP: 09/23/2026 - 01/21/2027 Offerors are to submit any questions generated during the site visit or review of documents in writing to the Project Manager, Jesse Johnson jesse.johnson@gsa.gov, and Contracting Officer, Chanel Bennett ayrius.bennett@gsa.gov before 10:00 AM CST Tuesday, June 29, 2026. Responses to questions will be assembled and disseminated to all interested offerors by 3:00 PM CST Wednesday, July 8, 2026. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Project Objectives The contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform: 1) The contractor shall replace the existing three (4) windows in the Judges Chambers with Ballistic resistant UL Standard 752, Level IV materials. 2) The existing windows are made of an aluminum frame. The entire window may be replaced or just the glazing depending on if the window can be specially ordered to fit the existing frame. 3) At no time may a window be left open unattended or overnight during the installation process. 4) A staging area will be determined by mutual agreement after contract award. 5) The following information is provided for bidding purposes only. The contractor is advised to conduct a site visit and field-verify the exact information required for use in completing the work and submitting an offer. 6) No asbestos or lead containing materials shall be used. 7) All work shall comply with the latest version of the Publication 64 Regulations. 8) The Contractor is responsible for locating all utilities in project area, both public and private. GSA will make any existing drawing available for reference purposes only, actual locate is still contractor's responsibility. 9) The contractor is responsible for the protection of all existing building property surfaces from damage due to work performed under this contract. Damages to existing surfaces caused by the performance of this contract shall be repaired as to match the existing surface finish at no additional cost to the Government. 10) The Contractor shall remove all debris generated in the performance of this contract daily. 11) The contractor shall take all necessary precautions to prevent any dust or debris from filtering into other parts of the building including but not limited to mechanical systems. Should dust or debris filter into other parts of the building the contractor shall take immediate steps to clean the area (no equipment or supplies will be furnished by GSA). 12) At the completion of the project, the project area shall be cleaned to building standards as determined by the GSA Property Manager. Should the contractor fail to clean the project limits in a timely manner, GSA will contract for said cleaning and the cost will be deducted from the contract. Ensure that all penetrations are sealed with fire rated approved material as required by the International Building Code. 13) The CO has the right to reject any unsatisfactory or unsuitable material or workmanship.
