The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of wet demolition and site clean-up of 785 Main Street, with the foundation to remain in place. The City has applied for the Demolition Permit on behalf of the Contractor. The Demolition Contractor must have a City of Winnipeg demolition contractor license and be allowed to complete the permit process. Gas and hydro connections will be disconnected and meters removed by others. ACM removal must be performed as per specifications listed under Part E - Specifications. The awarded contractor must notify the Workplace Safety and Health Director's Office at least 5 days before starting work to alter or demolish the building structure that contains ACM that may release into the atmosphere as per Regulation 37.8(2), and supply the Contract Administrator the Workplace Safety and Health Tracking number information at least two days prior to starting onsite. The awarded contractor is to provide a Structural Engineer's report detailing the demolition process to ensure the safety of neighboring structures, along with the Professional Designer's Certificate for Housing - Version 1.0, to be submitted to the Contract Administrator for permit approval.
