Renovation of a military facility in Abilene, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Work includes removal and disposal of the existing chiller, installation of a temporary chiller system to maintain facility operations during equipment lead time, and installation of a new air-cooled chiller. The project also includes replacement of damaged chilled water piping and insulation, along with required electrical and controls reconnections, system startup, commissioning and similar types of work to ensure full operational capability. The proposed construction will be comparable to the original system, with improvements to materials and equipment to meet current codes and standards and reduce the risk of future damage. This project restores the facility's HVAC system to full operational capability and ensures continued mission readiness. The construction cost for this project shall not exceed $1,235,900 Replace the failed air-cooled chiller system and associated chilled water piping at the Dyess AFRC and restore reliable HVAC service to the facility.
