This project provides for the reconstruction of approximately 400 linear feet (existing alignment) of 6-inch diameter vitrified clay sanitary sewer on Harvard Street from Alta Vista Street to Oxford Street. The existing sewer has been identified as a source of inflow and infiltration with multiple offset joints and pipe fractures showing the pipe is in need of rehabilitation or replacement. Rehabilitated using trench-less methods is not an option due to the challenges associated with reinstating services on small diameter line; and is scheduled for removal and replacement with a larger diameter sewer to improve operation and future maintenance. The sewer is located in Consent Decree Sanitary Sewershed 12 and was identified to be completed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency in the Consent Decree Corrective Action Plan. The project is included in the City's 2027-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
