PROJECT LOCATION : This Project is located in southwest Seattle along where Fauntleroy Creek crosses 45th Ave SW, between SW Director St on the north and SW Wildwood Pl on the south. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This Project will replace the 45th Ave SW culvert and consists of the following elements of Work: civil demolition to include an in-stream by-pass, tree protection , civil site work, civil stream work, civil grading, civil utilities (drainage and water), civil paving (roadway), landscaping, structural work (soldier pile shoring, culvert construction consisting of cast-in-place concrete footings, shotcrete walls, and precast concrete cover), and electrical. This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle's Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. With the support of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting . Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city's construction projects. It gives contractors access to these skilled workers. ESTIMATE: The Engineer's Estimate for this Project is $ 30,250,000 Bidders are required to attend at least one of the two pre-bid meetings scheduled for the project.
