The Town of Qualicum Beach invites quotations from qualified contractors for the construction of a foundation and the assembly of one (2) pre-purchased steel storage shed at the Town's Parks Yard, located at 987 Jones Street, Qualicum Beach, BC. The Town has pre-purchased a 25' x 50' steel storage shed package The Work generally includes site preparation, subgrade and base preparation, construction of a concrete foundation and slab in accordance with engineered drawings, and erection of the pre-purchased building package in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable codes. Construct a code-compliant foundation and slab per engineered design in Attachment 3 . Assemble the pre-purchased steel building safely, correctly, and in accordance with manufacturer/engineer requirements illustrated in Attachment 4. Deliver a complete, stable, weather-tight shell suitable for later electrical fit-out by others. Restore the site to a safe, functional condition with convenient access to the building for staff and equipment, ensuring drainage sheds away from the building and does not cause ponding. Mobilization, Layout, and Coordination Coordinate a pre-construction meeting with the Town . Confirm Site access, laydown area, delivery scheduling, and work hours. Provide survey/layout as required to locate the foundation footprint and elevations. Coordinate sequencing with the Town to minimize disruption at the Parks Yard. Site Preparation and Base o Provide temporary fencing, signage, and controls required to maintain safety. o Locate and protect existing utilities and operations (coordinate utility locates through BC 1 Call, as applicable). o Strip/prepare subgrade and construct base materials as required to support the slab/foundation per engineered requirements (including compaction). o Manage excavated materials and disposal in accordance with applicable regulations. The Town's objective is to complete a stable, functional, and code-compliant storage building to support ongoing municipal operations at the Parks Yard. All inquiries or requests for clarification regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing, quoting "Foundation and Assembly of Parks Yard Storage Shed RFQ No. 2026- 15".
