Public Services and Procurement Canada requires the rehabilitation of Lower Liard Bridge, located at km 763.3 on the Alaska Highway in BC. Work under this contract consists of but is not limited to: Removal of expansion joint steel finger plates and associated steel sections to provide access to areas of rehabilitation. Installation of steel road deck bridging plates. Preparation and painting of new and existing steel work. Installation of side span stringers repair brackets. Installation of main span stringer reinforcement plates. Installation of floor beam strengthening plates. Reinstallation of steelwork and finger joints, previously removed for access. Installation of hose clamps on hanger and main cable strands. Installation of new bolts in existing open bolt holes on West Truss. Installation of North Abutment expansion joint traffic plate extension. Hazardous materials testing of bridge coatings Other requirements: Site preparation. Traffic accommodation.
