Reference Number 0000429378 Baldwin Public Library Loading Dock Repair and Renovation Question Acceptance Deadline 07/13/2026 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Any request for clarification of this RFP shall be made in writing and delivered to: John Galik, 248-530-1883, jgalik@bhamgov.org, 151 Martin Street, Birmingham, MI, 48009. The Contractor shall pay to the City of Birmingham, as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each calendar day that completion of the work extends beyond the Project Timeline. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, waive informalities, or accept any proposal, in whole or in part, it deems best The Contractor shall perform the following services in accordance with the requirements as defined and noted herein: 1. The primary project objectives of this bid package are to: a. Address concrete deterioration at the slabs, wall , steps, and ancillary elements throughout the loading dock area, b. Restore the condition of protective waterproofing elements including membranes and sealants, c. Restore the condition of protective coatings for metal elements including grates, railings, and components for the elevator, d. Installation of a new ramp for transportation of garbage and recycling bins 2. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following activities: a. Full-depth replacement of concrete slab on ground. b. Partial-depth underside concrete slab repairs. c. Partial-depth topside concrete step repairs. d. Partial-depth vertical concrete wall repairs. e. Removal and replacement of cove and horizontal joint sealants f. Cleaning and recoating of membrane on steps and topping slab (at split slab) to remain. g. Removal and replacement of select sidewalk flags. h. Shaving and sloping of trip hazards along sidewalks. i . Cleaning and coating of metal elements including grates, railings, vehicle bumper channel, and elevator support elements. j. Removal and cleaning or replacement of rubber vehicle bumpers. k. Installation of new ramp along north edge of drive lane. 3. The Contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of all materials in a safe and legal manner. 4. The Contractor shall operate in a safe manner and will observe all MIOSHA guidelines. 5. The Contractor shall provide any and all manuals and/or warranty information related to this project to the City upon completion of the project.
