This Request for Tender (the "RFT") is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo ("the Municipality") to prospective bidders to submit a bid ("Bid") for Arts Inc. Construction, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). Each Bid must include a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed in Alberta, valid for ninety (90) calendar days from the Submission Deadline, payable to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price, as security for executing the Agreement. In lieu of a bid bond, the Bid may be accompanied by either: a certified cheque payable to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo; or an irrevocable letter of credit issued by a Canadian Chartered Bank, credit union, or other financial institution acceptable to the Municipality, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price. Certified cheques and letters of credit must be delivered in original hard copy to the RFT Contact at Jubilee Plaza, 9909 Franklin Avenue, Fort McMurray, Alberta T9H 2K4, by Canada Post, courier, or hand delivery before the Submission Deadline. The payee/purchaser name must match the Bidder's full legal name.
