Site work and new construction of a golf course in Lockport, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a golf course; and for site work for a golf course.

Installation of new driving range poles and netting. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. Any questions should be addressed to: Pete Hall at 815-838-1183 ext. 202 or phall@lockportpark.org. Contractor to provide general contract for the installation of range net poles and netting. 1. Bid form is broken down into two costs. The individual pricing should include all material, equipment, manpower, general conditions, overhead and profit for each section individually. 2. Start construction on section one as soon as possible to replace existing netting on west side of range . This is critical for golf operations. Section two on the east side of range will require FAA permit approval prior to start. 3. All poles for both sections can be delivered and stored onsite until used on the north side of the cart barn near the range. 4. Anticipate separate mobilizations for the installation of each section of work. 5. Operations need to be conducted in a manner that will avoid damage to the existing golf course. 6. Operations need to be scheduled in advance that will require range closure to avoid any conflicts with any scheduled outings or events. 7. Section one is to replace the existing range net poles and netting on the west side of the range that was damaged by storms. a. This includes unearthing and disposing of the existing broken poles & pole bases. b. Disconnect any existing cabling & netting. Replace as necessary for like new installation. C. Install new poles as indicated and fill in excavation voids with 3/4" crushed stone. Poles are 60' length typical . Provide two poles at 65' for grade variance. d. Install new anchor line, netting, and anchors. 8. Section two is to install new range net poles and netting on the east side of the range. a. Excavate, remove soil , and install new net poles as indicated. b. Install new wind line, anchor line, netting, and anchors. 9. Poles: Class I Douglas Fir (Penta Treatment) or Southern Yellow Pine (CCA Treated) utility pole. Poles to be buried 9'-6" below grade and backfilled and compacted with 3/4" crushed stone. 10. All end poles are to be anchored using galvanized steel screw in or bust out type anchors using 5/16" galvanized 1 x 7-strand cable. Anchor location to be a minimum of 25'-0" from the base of the pole. Provide yellow guy guards for all anchor cables. 11. Netting: Tex-Net, Inc. Poly 1000 or approved equal. 12. Cables: Shall be 5/16" 1 x 7 extra high strength galvanized strand for the top, intermediate, vertical and bottom cables with a minimum breaking strength of 11,200 lbs. 13. Attach net with breakaway clips based on net manufacturer's recommendation. 14. Provide net skirting at bottom where grade varies to help with stopping balls going under net. 15. Site visit verification required prior to bidding for existing conditions. 16. Dimensions are approximate. Field verify pole dimensions prior to ordering netting. 17. Park District will provide permit required. 18. Park District to stake locations of netting poles to be installed. 19. Park District will locate irrigation system and postpone watering prior to installations. 20. Warranty: Netting warranty is prorated and for a period of 10 years. 21. Existing damaged net will be removed by owner. Existing poles to be disposed of by contractor.
