Sealed proposals are requested for Student Center and Wellness Center Renovations at Wallace State Community College. Only general contractors who have been approved through prequalification procedures will be eligible to bid. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the Architect or copies thereof. A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not exceeding $10,000, must accompany the bid proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the bid documents will be required at contract signing. All bidders bidding in excess of the amount established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975. The bidder’s current license number must be displayed on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Written prequalification procedures and criteria are available for review on the Alabama Community College System website or by contacting the Architect. Pre-qualification forms must be submitted by 5:00 PM CST on July 17th, 2026. ANTICIPATED BUDGET RANGE: $1M to $5M *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The project scope entails the renovation of the Wellness Center and Student Center facilities at the WSCC Hanceville Campus. Interior renovation of ~91,000 GSF including flooring replacement / repair, repainting, ceiling and light fixture replacement. Minor areas will be reconfigured to incorporate new offices. The project scope may also include several isolated repairs such as the replacement of a skylight, the installation of new motorized shades in the gyms, sidewalk repairs, window replacements and minor AV scope.
