Bids are requested for the 2026 Shima Kiln project for the San Joaquin Delta Community College District. Bids must be submitted electronically through the OpenGov procurement management system, using forms furnished by the District. Bidders must register with OpenGov, create a free account, and submit their bids on the platform. Any addenda will be posted on OpenGov, and it is the bidder's responsibility to check for and download any project addenda. All interested contractors must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk at the specified location. Failure to attend the entire pre-bid conference and job walk will disqualify a bidder. Only bids submitted by those who attended the pre-bid conference and submitted on time and in accordance with the bid documents will be considered. Each bid must include all documents required in the bid documents, including bid security, Attachment "A," and Attachments "C" through "N." Attachment "B" must be submitted within forty-eight hours of the bid opening date. The District may reject any or all bids and waive minor irregularities. Each bidder must hold a valid and appropriate contractor's license (B License, General Building Contractor) and maintain it in good standing throughout the contract duration. For contracts over $25,000, a payment bond and a performance bond from an admitted surety approved to do business in California must be filed and approved before construction begins. All workers must be paid at least the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations.
