Modernization of elevators at the AGY facility. The MARYLAND TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION (MTA) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to get competitive Design-Build proposals for the modernization of forty (40) elevators within the MDOT MTA's system, including: design, construction, installation, commissioning, and certification of the new equipment. Question Deadline 07/13/2026 at 2:00 PM ET Questions shall be meeting submitted to ContractDevelopment@mta.maryland.gov Design: The Successful Offeror will be responsible for the design of replacement and/or modernization of elevators at various locations; to modernize the vertical transportation equipment and controls. The design shall comply with codes and best industry practices including but not limited to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC), Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) requirements, Baltimore City codes, and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). A complete list of applicable codes is listed in Table 2 of this solicitation. 2. Construction: The Successful Offeror will be responsible for procuring the approved equipment and construction per the approved design for the replacement and/or modernization of elevators at various locations.
