Front entrance awning replacement at Manhattan Tower apartments. 1. SUMMARY OF WORK The project includes providing labor, materials, and equipment to remove and replace the existing awning fabric, utilizing the existing semicircular aluminum frame structure located at the property. Contractor shall also restore and repaint the exposed steel support posts and bases at Manhattan Tower. 2. PROJECT LOCATION The Manhattan Tower apartments. 2885 West 14th St, Cleveland, Ohio 44113 3. PROJECT MANAGER The Project Manager for this work will be Asdrubal Bordelois. Telephone number (216) 306-8011. All work shall be coordinated through the Project Manager on this project. 4. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Protection & Preparation Protect adjacent sidewalks, walls, doors, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces from damage during work operations. Install temporary safety barricades and warning signage as required. The contractor is responsible for verifying all field measurements prior to fabrication. 2. Removal of Existing awning Fabric 14 6 long x 8'6" wide x 48" high to the top part of face. Remove and dispose of existing fabric and fastening components. Inspect the existing aluminum frame for damage, loose connections, corrosion, or deformation. Notify the owner of any structural deficiencies before proceeding. 3. Existing Frame Preparation Clean existing steel posts. Remove surface rust from the four awning support posts and associated metal components by sanding, grinding, or wire brushing as required. Prepare all metal surfaces for painting application. 4. Painting of Support Posts Prime exposed metal surfaces as required for rust protection. Paint four awning support posts with: Rust-Oleum Eggshell Black finish Paint lower/base portion of posts with: Safety Yellow finish Color to match existing building color composition. 5. New Awning Fabric Fabrication & Installation Fabricate and install new heavy-duty commercial-grade awning fabric over the existing aluminum frame. Fabric color shall be: Red Fabric shall be: UV resistant Water resistant/weather resistant Mildew resistant Tension fitted to prevent sagging 6. Lettering / Building Identification Provide and install painted or heat-applied lettering on the front face of the awning. Lettering color: White Include building address centered on front awning face. Font size and style to be coordinated with owner prior to fabrication. 7. Final Cleaning & Completion Remove debris and excess materials from site daily. Clean all work areas upon completion.
