Renovation of a military facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Base Los Angeles Long Beach (LALB) requires repair of Chiller #2 located in Building 20. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and expertise necessary to replace two compressors, one thermal expansion valve, two contactors, one filter drier, and three pumps (including associated motors, seals, and equipment) within the Dunham-Bush Chiller #2 system. Requirements include performing Lockout/Tagout procedures, recovering and disposing of up to 50 lbs of R-410a refrigerant, removing and disposing of specified existing equipment, providing and installing new Dunham-Bush compressors, a new thermal expansion valve, new contactors, a new filter drier, pressure-testing and charging the system with refrigerant, replacing two WEG 5HP pumps and providing a third as a spare, cleaning and installing new motors with Armstrong seals, reattaching insulation, restoring system power, performing operational startup testing to be witnessed and signed off, and providing a minimum one-year warranty. Contractors must adhere to stringent site security requirements, including submission of personnel lists and compliance with vehicle and personnel identification policies. Bidders must submit a technical proposal, past performance information, a communication and coordination plan, and a detailed price proposal with labor and material breakdowns. Proposals will be evaluated on past recent performance, technical capability, and communication and coordination approach. Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace two compressor for building 20. #2 Dunham-Bush (Model# ACDS040ARGS) (Serial# 2B82000007) chiller. Remove and install two (2) new compressors, one (1) thermal expansion valve, two (2) contactors, one (1) filter drier, three (3) Pumps and any associated equipment within the system. Repairs must be completed within industry standards using manufacturer's instructions. For bid purposes, please provide a breakdown of price for labor and parts/materials. This is the lowest price/best value, technically acceptable for solicitation.
