Demolition, site work and addition to a military facility in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the addition of a military facility; for the demolition of a military facility; and for site work for a military facility.
Construction work consists of building additions on the east and north sides of Building 124, along with enlarging the existing loading dock using hard surface concrete. The scope also includes demolition and removal of existing interior office spaces, as well as modification and replacement of electrical, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm systems, including associated ancillary work. Hazardous material abatement will be required in all impacted areas affected by the project. Bidding is restricted exclusively to contractors within the DB/DBB IDIQ MACC North Area of Responsibility, specifically the pre-qualified firms identified in the contract vehicle.
