Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Under this Request for Expressions of Interest (the “RFEOI”), the City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking expressions of interest (“Expressions of Interest”) from vendors with expertise in General Contracting for the demolition and construction of a new public washroom and multipurpose facility. Interested parties (“Respondents”) are required to respond to this RFEOI in accordance with the instructions set forth in this RFEOI. The purpose of the SOW is to obtain a Contractor to complete a new Public Washroom and Multipurpose Facility at Collingwood Park, Vancouver. An existing fieldhouse dating from the 1960’s is to be demolished to make room for the new facility. The work will include the demolition of the existing Fieldhouse and associated hardscape, and the construction of a new Public Washroom and Multipurpose Facility in approximately the same location. Demolish the existing fieldhouse and any associated hardscape at the southeast corner of Collingwood Park. Install required utilities and services for the new facility. Construct a new facility consisting of five single-user public washrooms (including two accessible washrooms), a multipurpose room, accessible washroom, kitchenette, storage rooms, and service rooms. Landscape work consists of new hardscape surrounding the facility and connecting to the existing park pathways, benches, bike rack, and softscape, including the removal of two existing trees and replacement with four new trees. The new facility shall be designed and constructed to meet current Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL) energy performance requirements for new construction. Lighting systems shall comply with the current ASHRAE 90.1 energy efficiency standards. In support of the City’s greenhouse gas reduction objectives, the facility shall utilize all-electric HVAC systems and shall not incorporate fossil fuel-powered building systems.
