This project installs a soil remediation system at UC San Diego Hillcrest Medical Center, southwest of the existing Central Plant with the objective of reducing groundwater hydrocarbon levels to the threshold specified by the Regional Water Quality Control Board. The soil remediation system consists of a dual phase extraction (DPE) system, which includes soil vapor extraction (SVE) and fluid (groundwater) treatment. Existing monitoring wells in the canyon will be connected to an Owner procured skid-mounted remediation system via mostly above ground pipes. The project also proposes to redrill one existing monitoring well. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, listed in the latest published State of California, Department of Insurance, list of Insurers Admitted to Transact Surety Insurance in This State. Estimated project duration is 180 calendar days. The following bidders have been prequalified to bid on this project: AMERICAN INTEGRATED SERVICES, INC. GRAYMAR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, LLC. INTEGRATED DEMOLITION AND REMEDIATION INC.
