Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com Question Deadline 07/22/2026 at 12:00 PM CT Questions or concerns with respect to the tender can be directed to: Karl Bergman Asset Management Manager Phone: (204) 642-6688 Email : kbergman@rmgimli.com LOCATION AND SCOPE OF WORK The three new 2.75 m wide concrete sidewalk locations are: o Centre Ave West - south side between 7th Ave & Autumnwood Dr - approximate length = 589 m There is an existing ~1.8-meter gravel path installed 2-3 years ago by Public Works Hydro poles to the north and MTS pedestals & Valley Fiber buried cable to the south on either side of the existing ~1.8 m path Underground culverts north of the hydro poles & underground Valley Fiber cable to the south. Obstructions such as Hydro poles or MTS pedestals located within the sidewalk structure to be isolated from the new sidewalk to prevent cracking from inconsistent movement. 3rd Ave - west side between North 5th Ave & Amisk Dr - approximate length = 178 m Currently grass area east of the line of trees 450 mm culvert to be installed at North 5th Ave for sidewalk to meet North 5th Ave Culvert to be placed under sidewalk in low area shown on drawing. Size TBD O Mirror City of Winnipeg Typical Method, roots extending within the pavement structure are cut flush along the pavement alignment, with non-woven geotextile extended high enough to cover the cut face of roots2nd Ave - south side between Centre St & Lady of the Lake - approximate total length = 166 m the approximate length includes some existing sidewalk that is to remain O There is an existing ~1.5-meter-wide sidewalk there already in fair condition that will need to be removed. The RM will survey and stake out the property lines. All other preparation work to be completed by the contractor. Sidewalk Construction at the three identified locations includes: o Excavate a 3.25 m wide base and prepare the base as outlined in the Sidewalks / Pathways Design and attached drawings. Includes the removal and disposal of pre-determined sidewalks where necessary. oThe construction of 2.75 m wide concrete sidewalks using 32 MPA concrete. Form and pour 32 MPA concrete. oMake cuts across the new sidewalk at appropriate locations. Trowel the sides of the new sidewalk to round off the edges leaving a troweled finish. o Final landscaping with soil and grass seed to pre-construction condition .
