Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Palmdale, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The City is seeking a qualified Construction Observer responsible to oversee and monitor the Contractor for the construction of the subject project, and coordinate with the Construction Manager firm. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Question Deadline 07/23/2026 at 2:00 PM PT All questions and inquiries regarding this solicitation must be submitted to CITY via the online (PBT ) online Questions & Answer page Provide a thorough review of the project plans and specifications. Confer the work activities are in line with the logistics of the project goals. For any discrepancies, callout the work in question and prepare field recommendations to resolve the issue. Attend all project related meetings; Also, review and track the contractor's construction schedule. Ensure construction schedule is consistent with the recommended construction phasing plan. Coordinate with the City's Project Manager, utility companies, and other agencies as deemed necessary. Prepare daily construction observation reports including labor classification, bid item, hours, materials, and equipment. Take daily Photos of construction progress. Review contractor's outreach materials. Arrange for a final walk through with the Contractor and the Construction Observer. Make recommendation for substantial completion
