Site work, renovation and addition to a detention facility in New Castle, Delaware. Completed plans call for the addition of a 11,000-square-foot detention facility; for the renovation of a 4,300-square-foot detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Renovation of the existing BWCI Infirmary area and a new addition / expansion to create a new Health Services Center. The Project has an existing space of approximately 4,300 sf and the new addition will be approximately 11,000 sf. , for approximately 15,300 +/- gross square feet. There will be some sitework to accommodate the new facility. The project will be done in a minimum of two phases. The new construction will be first phase, and the renovation will be the second phase. The first phase addition will provide additional space for Administration, Inpatient, and Outpatient functions . During the first phase there will be some minor renovation in the existing warehouse section of the facility. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. ***Plans must be obtained from the Owner. Question Deadline 08/13/2026 Bidders or Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Architect at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of Bid
