This RFP seeks to identify engineering and mechanical solutions that meet safety, indoor air quality, and energy-efficiency performance requirements while allowing flexibility in technology, equipment design, and system delivery. The purpose of this procurement is to design and execute a full HVAC renovation or replacement that will support the climate control and ventilation needs of building occupants, including advanced filtration and zone- control capabilities, in compliancewith the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards, North Carolina Building Code, and all other relevant local, state, and federal regulations. The HVAC systems and infrastructure that are to be installed will meet standards as outlined in this Request for Proposal. The winning vendor will be required to perform engineering design, equipment integration, and installation according to factory warranties, to not void any warranties associated with materials (goods) being utilized.
