The project involves installing gate valves, vaults, meters, and boxes; conducting chlorination testing of the new water system; removing and capping existing fire hydrants; installing new fire hydrants; and performing hot mix asphalt patching of asphalt concrete pavement. It also includes repairing concrete sidewalks and driveways, investigating and repairing a leaking section of previously abandoned watermain, seeding disturbed areas, and completing site restoration. Under the optional scope, additional work includes installing a new water connection, plugging the existing connection, and performing associated excavation, system installation, pavement repairs, and restoration activities.
