Documents can be found at https://bcbid.gov.bc.ca/page.aspx/en/bpm/process_manage_extranet/232094 Annex Building - Joseph Creek and Parking Area Repair - Contract Work: : : Isolate Joseph Creek stream flow (ie use of Aquadam or equivalent and sand bags support) from the proposed instream (Joseph Creek) work, while maintaining unimpeded fish passage movement (upstream and downstream ); Dewater the instream isolated work area gradually and coordinate with consultant/Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) for the fish salvage program (grant access and control stream flow away from the instream construction work- fish salvage to be completed by QEP; Removal and disposal of approximately 35 metres of chain link fence (replacement of fence by owner); Follow the requirements of the project Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), including provisions for erosion and sediment control (but not limited to) and note that the QEP and Environmental Monitor (EM) will be provided by the Owner; Implement Erosion and Sediment Control measures noted in the CEMP; Follow the requirements of Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), per the letter dated April 3, 2025 (extension letter has been requested ) and Change Approval letters dated June 13, 2025 as issued by the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship; Remove the necessary existing vegetation and wood debris from the subject creek bank in consultation with the QEP; Trimming existing trees within the stream as directed by the QEP; Supply and install temporary barricades and fencing of the project site; Construction staking survey; Removal and offsite disposal of up to approximately 85m2 of existing asphalt surface (estimated 50mm thick) and related saw cutting; Removal and offsite disposal of up to approximately 160m3 waste excavation for the project areas and related site grading; Supply and install approximately 185 square metres of Terrafix 420-R, or equivalent, non-woven geotextile; Supply and install up to approximately 90m3 of Angular Class 100 kg rip rap, adhering to SS 205 MOTT 2025, (rock to be clean and free of sediment producing material , durable, non -acid generating and suitably graded and installed to a nominal thickness of 0.7m) with careful rock placement by thumb and bucket (end dumping of rock into stream is not permitted); Supply and install of Willow and Red -osier Dogwood species at a density of one Willow/Dogwood stake per square metre (in riprap gaps assume 40 stakes) and where staking is not possible, revegetation shall be native grass seed; - Approximately 75 m2 of subgrade preparation (parking area repair); Supply and installation of approximately 75m2 of 20mm minus granular base material (100mm thickness) for the parking area repair; Supply and installation of approximately 75m2 of 75mm minus granular subbase material (300mm thickness) for the parking area repair; Supply and installation of approximately 75m2 of asphalt (50mm minimum thickness); Supply and install approximately 5m3 of topsoil around disturbed grass areas and grass hand seeding (Restore any disturbed grassed lawn to pre-construction condition); Materials Testing (compaction testing for subgrade, subbase, base and asphalt); and Proof Roll using loaded tandem truck on parking repair area subgrade, to be witnessed by the project
