Closing Time: 4:00 PM NT The Town of Arnold's Cove invites proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide all labour, supervision, materials, equipment, project management, transportation, permits, inspections, and associated services necessary to complete upgrades and accessibility improvements to the softball field backstop and viewing area. Contractors should address all aspects of the municipal recreation and accessibility improvement initiatives as outlined, ensuring safe, accessible, inclusive, and sustainable public recreational spaces. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com Scope of Work 1. Rink Area Redevelopment The Town proposes the redevelopment and modernization of the existing outdoor rink area. The existing structure is currently oversized, difficult to maintain, and requires substantial concrete rehabilitation and surface improvements. The proposed redevelopment includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: o Reduction in the overall footprint of the existing rink area; o Resurfacing and rehabilitation of the site; Installation of a basketball court measuring approximately 45 feet in width; o Installation of a ball hockey area measuring approximately 45 feet in width; Development of a centrally located accessible corridor approximately 30 feet in width, including: Accessible seating areas;Accessible spectator viewing spaces; and Accessible picnic tables; Development of a community festival and event staging area on the western portion of the site, including: Installation of a 20 ft x 24 ft gazebo structure with accessible ramp access; and Preparation of the surrounding area for community festivals, public gatherings, and recreational programming. Existing boards on the existing rink will be repurposed and used for the new portion of the rink. The Town may provide conceptual drawings or illustrative renderings outlining the intended design and functionality of the proposed development.
