This solicitation is being conducted by the Georgia Department of Transportation under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road (as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3 (24) as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-61 (c) and (d) (1) (D). Only contractors deemed as Qualified Contractors to provide "Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services" through the routine maintenance prequalification process are eligible to participate in this Invitation to Bid/Request for Quote. Through this ITB/RFQ the Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, "the State Entity, Department, Agency, or GDOT") is seeking bids for Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services. The qualified firms who have been awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) through the prequalification process #48400-410-000043083. All respondents to this ITB/RFQ are subject to same terms and conditions of the MMSA 48400-410-000034480, subsequent awarded contract, and the ITB/RFQ Form, and are cautioned to completely review the entire ITB/RFQ and follow instructions carefully. The Department reserves the right to modify existing provisions or include additional provisions, which are not currently addressed herein and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities at its discretion. The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, tools, means of transportation, traffic control , and incidentals necessary to perform work in accordance with the specifications, construction standards and details set forth herein. The Contractor must furnish equipment in good operating condition and such equipment must be operated by properly trained and qualified personnel . The Contractor must furnish the fully operational equipment needed to perform Drainage Rehabilitation, Repair, Replacement, & Miscellaneous Maintenance Services at such time, and at such location(s) as directed by the Department. Prior to the start of work, Contractor must inspect the equipment to ensure it is fully operational for the performance of its intended purpose. The Contractor will also be responsible for any traffic control , licenses, and permits required to satisfy the duties required herein. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring to ensure a safe work environment for employees and the traveling public within the time schedule specified. When replacing white-topping PCC Slabs, the Contractor is not allowed to remove the existing slab without being able to pour concrete within seven (7) calendar days of opening the road surface..
