Georgia DOT is seeking to contract with a Design-Builder to provide services necessary - for the design and construction of a new bridge approximately 1,441-foot-long, 55-foot-wide offset 40 feet west of the existing alignment along SR 25/US 17/SR 99/N. Walton Street at the Darien River. The project will maintain two-lane, two-way traffic during construction by first building a portion of the new bridge, shifting traffic to it, then demolishing the old bridge and completing the remaining span. The corridor covers approximately 0.5 mile and includes a shared-use path and sidewalk (the Project). This Project will be awarded to a Design-Builder utilizing a Two-Phase Best Value method. A Design-Builder includes a Lead Contractor and a Lead Design Consultant working together to design and construct the project.
