Renovation of a municipal facility in Manteo, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
All Contractors submitting bids shall possess a valid North Carolina Contractor's License. A Certificate of General Liability Insurance (minimum $1,000,000) and proof of workers compensation insurance shall be attached to each bid for consideration. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit equal to 5% of the net price bid. This deposit may consist of cash, or bank cashier's check, or a 5% Bid Bond issued by any Insurance Company authorized to do business in North Carolina. This deposit will be retained in the event of the failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after notice of award or to give satisfactory surety as required. The successful bidder must furnish a payment and performance and materialman's bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina for the full amount of the Contract price prior to execution of project contract. The bidder to whom this project is awarded shall have two hundred and Seventy (270) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed to complete the terms of the contract for this project. The Town of Manteo reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
