Site work for a civil project in New Boston, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes installation of an 18-inch force main extension of an existing 12-inch force main, a force main valve vault, two crossings over a concrete flood wall, and two railroad bores. Bidders must accompany their bid with a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid or bid security made payable to the owner in an amount of 10% of the bidder's maximum bid price. Contractors must pay wages at a rate not less than the higher of the minimum wages specified in the current wage determination as published by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce or the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act. The project is funded with assistance from the Ohio Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) and is subject to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including small, minority, and women-owned businesses, are encouraged to submit bids, and bidders must demonstrate positive efforts to utilize DBEs. All iron and steel products used must be produced in the United States and comply with American Iron and Steel requirements. Bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246, Equal Employment Opportunity as amended. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any bid it deems advantageous. All bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 150 days after the time set for receiving bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Additional funding is provided by Ohio EPA's Strategic Initiative's Fund H2Ohio program.
