The purpose of this project is to enhance the safety and security of Township employees while maintaining efficient public service operations. The scope of work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Removal and proper disposal of the existing service counter window assemblies. Furnishing and installation of two (2) new UL 752 Level 3 bullet-resistant glazing systems for the public transaction/service counter. Existing window openings are approximately 47 inches wide by 45 inches high each. Contractors shall field verify all dimensions prior to fabrication. Installation of a secure transaction opening or pass-through suitable for conducting routine public business. Furnish and install a two-way hands-free communication system with speaker and microphone components to facilitate clear communication between Township staff and members of the public through the bullet-resistant glazing. The system shall provide clear voice transmission, be suitable for continuous public service use, and be integrated into the transaction window assembly or adjacent framing in a neat and professional manner. Modification of framing, trim, and finishes as necessary to accommodate the new glazing system. All labor, materials, equipment, permits (if required), and incidental work necessary to provide a complete, fully operational installation. Protection of adjacent finishes during construction and restoration of any areas disturbed by the work. Coordination of work with Township staff to minimize disruption to daily operations.
