Description

Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 231,400-square-foot laboratory facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The TSTS Hub will be located at 1200 Montreal Road on the National Research Council campus in Ottawa. The project will deliver a new facility supporting transportation safety research and collaboration between the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) and the NRC Aerospace Research Centre (ARC), including the Structures and Materials Performance Laboratory (SMPL). The facility will be approximately 21,500 m2 (231,400 sq . ft. ) and will include laboratory, office, and specialized technical spaces. The project is targeting LEED Gold certification and will incorporate sustainable and high-performance building systems. Installation of underground below grade services and in-slab sanitary storm laboratory waste domestic water fire protection electrical communications and ventilation systems.
