The Springfield Redevelopment Authority (SRA) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms for the following trade; Elevators; for the Cross/ Willow Street Parking Garage Project. This RFQ is a re-advertisement for the elec. traction elevator trade package- only. all previously prequalified trade packages remain unaffected. This is a CM at Risk Project under M.G.L. c. 149A. The RFQ contains specific criteria for trade contractor prequalification and selection. This RFQ is part of a two-step selection process for the Trade-Subcontractors. First, interested firms must submit the SOQ and then, at a later date, only the pre-qualified firms will be invited to bid on the category of work for which they were pre-qualified. The project is being developed for the Springfield Redevelopment Authority and includes the construction of a new multi-level structured parking facility intended to support downtown development, parking demand, and surrounding commercial activity within the Central Business District. The design team has completed schematic design and is advancing the project toward future phases of design and construction procurement. The project includes associated site improvements, utility infrastructure, drainage systems, streetscape improvements, lighting, security systems, fire protection systems, and traffic coordination within an active urban environment. Construction activities will require coordination with adjacent streets , utilities, nearby properties, and ongoing downtown operations throughout the duration of the work. The use of early enabling, utility, foundation, and structural packages may be implemented to maintain the overall project schedule and sequencing requirements.
