Site work and new construction of a communication facility in Franklinton, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a communication facility.
Construction of a communication tower. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Performance Bond required (unspecified amount), Payment Bond required (unspecified amount). The Demolition work includes the following: Dismantle, remove and legally dispose of existing communications tower. (which is not in use) Remove top portion of one existing tower footing. The other footings shall remain. Relocate existing equipment building to a new location on Dobson St. WP Govt will provide the truck. GC shall move the building to the location designated on the plans, offload and set in place on footings prepared by WP Govt. GC shall coordinate this with WP Govt. Remove/reroute portions of utilities which conflict with the work, as noted. The New work includes the following: Tower - Furnish & Install new 190' high self-supporting communication tower, waveguide bridge, antenna and accessories. Tower and all foundations shall be designed to fit in designated area. Design of all tower components, including foundations, shall be the responsibility of the contractor. All tower construction plans shall be site specific, approved signed & sealed by a Louisiana licensed engineer. Tower shall be designed to hold all of the antennas stated in the electrical drawings andspecs, but only one antenna will be furnished and installed at this location, under this project. Shelter - Furnish and install new precast concrete equipment shelter on new reinforced concrete foundation, on timber piles. Site-specific shelter building design must have signed & sealed drawings and calculations, signed & sealed by a Louisiana licensed registered engineer. Rever to drawings and specs for the foundation design Shelter - Pre-cast concrete shelter shall contain all communications, electrical and mechanical equipment specified. Shelter must have a decal or placard with identifying information per State Fire Marshal requirements. Electrical work - Washington Parish Government (WPG) will excavate and backfill the trenches for the new electrical service from the new Washington St. Tammany Electric Company (WSTE) utility pole to the new shelter building. WPG will locate existing utilities in the street, saw-cut the street for the new work, and repair the asphalt street after installation of the new utilities and concrete encasement. G.C. shall install the conduit, concrete encasement under the street, and all other electrical items. Coordinate above with WPG and WSTE. Furnish and install new dual-fuel generator, and all connections, and concrete pad. Install extensive grounding, refer to plan. Furnish and install antenna per schedule. This project includes one ( 1 ) antenna installed at this tower site. The project includes one antenna to be installed on the existing EOC tower at 54100 Dollar Rd . , Franklinton, and one existing antenna to be removed. Mechanical work - The Town of Franklinton will provide the new gas meter and service and new/reroute natural gas service line as required. G.C. Coordinate with utility company and town of Franklinton. G.C. shall provide new gas lines from the meter to the new generatorny and town of Franklinton. G.C. shall provide new gas lines from the meter to the new generator. Furnish and install propane tank and propane lines to new generator. (Alt. #1 ) Site work - Verify locations of all existing underground utilities. Provide new concrete pads for propane tank and generator. Provide concrete pad at equipment shelter entrance. WPG will install gravel/crushed stone to finish site to appropriate grade. The work includes three (3) alternates: Add Alt. #1 -Furnish and install new propane tank and fuel lines. Add Alt. #2 -Eight feet high chain link fencing and gates plus its associated connection to the site's grounding system. Add Alt. #3 Supply the additional communication equipment as listed in the drawings and specifications
