Renovation of a fire / police facility in Reidsville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Repairs to the fire station facility. Work will take place at Georgia State Prison, 300 1st Avenue South, Reidsville, Georgia 30453. The base Bid will include all work listed in the scope. There will be no alternates for this project. The scope of work is as follows: 1. Fire Department Storage Sheds. a. Remove and dispose of damaged roofing and framing on shed across from firehouse. b. Furnish and install new roofing and framing on shed across from firehouse. C. Remove and dispose of damaged roofing and soffit on the fire house shed. d . Furnish and install new roofing and soffit on the fire house shed. e. Remove and dispose of damaged siding of the fire house shed. f. Furnish and install new siding on fire house shed. g. All demolished and scrap materials in their entirety must be removed off GDC Property in accordance with all applicable GA state regulations. 2. Fire Department Doors. a . Remove four (4) damaged roll-up doors. b. Furnish and install four (4) new roll-up doors. c. All demolished and scrap materials in their entirety must be removed off GDC Property in accordance with all applicable GA state regulations. d. Final clean. 3. Fire Department Carport. a. Remove and dispose of damaged carport shed. b. Furnish and install new carport shed. c. All demolished and scrap materials in their entirety must be removed off GDC Property in accordance with all applicable GA state regulations. d. Final Clean. 4. Fire Department Roofing. a. Remove mechanical ridge vents and skylights. b. Furnish and install 18ga ridge plate & mini-rib panels. c. Furnish and install 2.5" polyiso roof insulation board. d . Furnish and install purlin fasteners. e. Furnish and install 60 mil TPO roof membrane. f. Furnish and install 18ga structural rake. g. Furnish and install 18ga eave plates. h. Furnish and install 22ga rake & eave cleats. i . Furnish and install 24ga stop edge. j. Furnish and install 24ga eave drip. k. Furnish and install 24ga metal gutter. I. Furnish and install 24ga metal downspouts, eight (8) each. m . All demolished and scrap materials in their entirety must be removed from GDC Property in accordance with all applicable GA state regulations. n. Final clean. 5. Contractor to test and verify (by a certified Laboratory) existing buildings for Hazardous Materials before repairs start. Provide a written report on the testing. (Lead Base Paint, Asbestos Containing Material , Mold) Should Hazardous Material be found the General Contractor will submit an Abatement Proposal. 6. Contractor shall verify all new and existing conditions and dimensions at job site. 7. Contractor shall coordinate inspections as required. 8. Contractor is responsible for protection of all surfaces including those not in the scope of work from construction dust, debris or damage during construction up until final acceptance. The methods of protection include wood, plastic, paper or other means for sealing/protecting furniture, sidewalks, doors or windows, etc. 9. Contractor shall be responsible for daily job site clean-up and will make provisions for disposing of all of his trade's debris. There shall not at any time be any material or debris left on site that could endanger the public. 10. Contractor shall be responsible for 48 hours advanced notice to coordinate Utility Interruptions. 11. Match all materials closest to existing materials. Only the Project Manager can pick colors if contractor cannot match to existing materials. Questions regarding the bidding documents, the bidding process, e-Builder, and all other questions should be submitted in e-Builder. No questions other than those submitted in writing will be accepted, and only written responses will be binding upon GSFIC .
