Removal of two culvert valve assemblies, fabrication and delivery of two new culvert valve assemblies, and installation of two culvert valve assemblies located on the river wall of the main lock chamber (1200 ft chamber). A culvert valve assembly includes a strut arm, bell crank, culvert valve, pins, valve bearing block assemblies, and other ancillary items as shown on the plans. Work includes removal of the existing assemblies highlighted in the plan set, possible disposal of the removed culvert valves, unwatering of the culvert valve chamber, maintaining the unwatered condition throughout installation, and rewatering of the culvert valve chamber after completion. The work is within the scope of fabrication of parts and refurbishment services for civil projects. The disclosed magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
