The work to be done under this contract consists of replacing 130 of the City's existing residential meters and 10 commercial meters. This work consists of removing the existing 3/4" residential service meters and the 1-1/2" commercial service meters and all associated components required to install the new meters and installing new City supplied service meters, PRVs, and associated components in the existing meter boxes. Also included in this project is the relocation of all existing backflow devices located in the same box as the meters to new meter boxes. The work will also include the installation of up to 35 new City supplied 3/4" double check backflow devices and meter boxes on existing residential services that do not currently have these devices. Associated work for this project is shown in the details provided. Prequalification is not required; however, applicant must submit with its Bid evidence of qualifications and experience to perform the work. A bid bond will not be required. The successful bidder will be required to execute a formal agreement with the Owner and provide acceptable insurance and both a performance bond and material and labor payment bond each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract award in accordance with the Specifications within ten (10) days of Notice of Award.
