Bowen Island Municipality invites quotations for roadway centreline and edge line painting services. Scope of Work Approximately 39,330 m of yellow centreline painting and 4,550 m of white edge line painting. Quantities provided are approximate for quotation purposes and may vary from actual field measurements. Payment will be based on the quoted unit rates and actual quantities completed unless otherwise agreed by the Municipality Clarification: Quantities are measured as paint line length. Existing line configurations shall be reinstated unless otherwise directed by the Municipality. Technical Requirements Waterborne traffic paint is preferred; equivalent approved pavement marking materials may be proposed for municipal review Yellow and white pavement markings shall conform to current MMCD requirements and applicable British Columbia roadway marking practices. Proponents shall identify paint manufacturer, product name, application rate, minimum dry film thickness, glass bead specification and expected service life. Materials shall be suitable for municipal roadways in coastal British Columbia. Retroreflective glass beads Traffic control in accordance with WorkSafeBC and BC Traffic Management Manual Traffic Control Plans shall be prepared and implemented by qualified/certified personnel where required.
