Generally, the scope of work includes the construction of the Glenmore Road and Harris Road Drainage Diversion works, including, but not limited to, the following: Part 1: General Requirements Installation and removal of temporary facilities to support construction activities. Traffic management and public safety measures. Mobilization and demobilisation of materials and equipment. Utility locates, protection, and coordination with utility owners. Erosion and sediment control measures necessary to complete the works in accordance with the City of Abbotsford By-Laws as well as provincial and federal acts related to the discharge of deleterious substances into waterways. Environmental protection measures. Clearing and grubbing as required. Part 2: Glenmore Road Drainage Works Minor regrading of the ditch on the west side of Glenmore Road up to Flora Lane to suit inlet. Clearing and grubbing around the existing 300 mm culvert inlet / outlet under Flora Lane. Inspection of the 600 mm culvert under Glenmore Road Installation of two (2) 1500 mm precast concrete manholes (WDMH1 and WDMH2) Installation of approximately 56 m of 450 mm diameter DR35 PVC storm main from WDMH1 to WDMH2 underneath the south bound lanes of Glenmore Road. Installation of approximately 15.5 m of 450 mm diameter DR35 PVC storm main from WDMH2 to WDMH3 through the intersection of Harris and Glenmore Roads. Potential relocation of an existing 75 mm diameter sanitary forcemain to pass overtop of the proposed storm main per MMCD standard detail and specifications. Install of a 200 mm diameter DR35 PVC service connection from the proposed Matsqui First Nation Development to the new 450 mm storm main. Install new lawn basin on the west side of Glenmore Road (near the south end of the Flora Lane ditch) with 200 mm diameter DR35 PVC connection to new 450 mm storm main. Asphalt cutting, excavation, shoring, dewatering, backfilling, road base placement, and re-paving related to all storm pipe and manhole installations and removals. Finished grading and hydroseeding of Flora Lane ditch where disturbed as directed by the Contract Administrator. Part 3: Harris Road Drainage Works Replacement of the existing manhole at the intersection of Harris and Glenmore Roads with one (1) new 1500 mm precast concrete manhole (WDMH3), including connection to 450 mm diameter existing storm main from the south side of Harris Road, east of Glenmore Road. Asphalt cutting, excavation, shoring, dewatering, backfilling, road base placement, and re-paving related to all storm pipe and manhole installations and removals. Part 4: Project Completion & Quality Control Any testing and inspection of the completed storm sewer system per MMCD standard specifications. Compaction testing for the backfill in accordance with CoA engineering design standards. Restoration of any asphalt pavement, gravel shoulders, ditches, boulevards, driveways, fencing, landscaping, and any other disturbed areas during construction. Application of thermoplastic pavement markings on Harris and Glenmore Roads to restore all pavement markings within the limits of construction Supply of record information for preparation of record drawings. All incidental works necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents.
