Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Milling and asphalt overlay of various streets within the borough. The work covered under this Contract shall include the removal of the existing surface to a depth of two inches (2") shall be done by a self-propelled Milling Machine, applying a Tack Coat, the placement and compaction of a Superpave 12mm Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Wearing Course at a depth of two inches (2"), and the sealing along curbs, water valves and manholes. The SUPERPAVE HMA Wearing Course material shall be applied in two (2) passes to ensure only one (1) longitudinal joint in the center of the roadway unless otherwise directed by the Head of Borough Engineering Services and/or the Chief Borough Inspector. Asphalt, stone and soil driveway tie-ins along with alley and street intersection tie-ins shall be the responsibility of this Contractor. No traffic shall be allowed on the street and all barricades, lights, traffic cones, temporary crosswalks and other safety devices to protect the public shall be provided and maintained by this Contractor at all times
