The City of Meriden is soliciting bids in seeking the services of a contractor to to remove the underground fuel tank at Engine Co # 2, 168 Chamberlain Hwy, Meriden, CT 06451. The Contractor shall develop, implement, maintain, and supervise as part of the work, a comprehensive plan for tank removal and related operations . The work consists of removal , decontamination and disposal of underground storage tank, associated piping and ancillary equipment as well as backfilling & restoring/seeding of the area. The Work Plan shall be based on work experience, on the guidance provided in this specification. The Contractor shall have a minimum of 2 years of tank removal experience and shall be certified by the State of Connecticut for tank removal work. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. Question Deadline 09/02/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Online portal.
