Work under this contract consists of but not necessarily limited to 1. All Scope of works as specified to the Tender document (Drawings & Specifications) 2. This project consists of fuel system (mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural) upgrades to the Gjoa Haven Health Center in Gjoa Haven, Nunavut 3. Work of this contract is comprised of: Replacement of the fuel oil system serving the heating plant and emergency generator. Removal of existing fuel oil tank, piping, and appurtenances as per the demolition drawings and completing environmentally responsible disposal. Installation of new fuel oil tanks, piping, and appurtenances, one serving the heating plant, one serving the emergency generator. Civil and structural work includes construction of new foundation and concrete pad for the new fuel tanks. 4. Division of the Work among other contractors, Subcontractors, suppliers/vendors is solely the Contractor's responsibility. Neither the Owner nor Consultant assumes any responsibility to act as an arbiter to establish subcontract terms between sectors or disciplines of work 5. Before starting the construction work, proper protection as per code must be taken by the contractor. 6. During the construction work, all old Tanks, pipes and other accessories (fittings and valves etc.) and Hazardous materials to be removed from the site and placed in the safe designated place (as direction of Project manage). 7. After completion of construction work, all old equipment and pipes, other accessories (fittings and valves etc.) and hazardous materials to be cleaned and disposed to the safe designated place (if safe and designated area for disposal is not available in Gjoa Haven then all to be disposed in safe designated south side by the contractor) 8. Testing and commissioning for operation with the existing systems as per standard code. 9. Shop drawings of all new equipment to be reviewed and approved by GN Consultant (Stantec Architectural Ltd). 10. The contractor shall provide all materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work. 11. All work to be completed by the contractor must be authorized by the Project Manager and the Consultant of the assigned project. 12. Provide training for the TIN maintainer. 13. Provide redline drawing for as-built drawings preparation. 14. Provide Operation and Maintenance (O & M) Manual.
