Demolition, site work, environmental remediation and renovation of a water / sewer project in Lake Forest, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for environmental remediation for a water / sewer project.

The City intends to engage the services of an experienced contractor to remove 600kW cat generator, 4000gal diesel UST, install six 60hp pump soft starters, install a 300kW natural gas generator and automatic transfer switch at the Spruce and Sheridan Lift Station at 511 E Spruce Ave. in The City of Lake Forest, Illinois. The Work consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, engineering, equipment, materials, permits, testing, transportation, disposal, documentation, and incidentals necessary to complete the replacement of the existing emergency power system at the City of Lake Forest Spruce and Sheridan Sanitary Sewer Lift Station. The principal elements of the Work include: 1. Removing the existing approximately 600 kW Caterpillar diesel enginegenerator. 2. Removing the existing Zenith automatic transfer switch and associated obsolete equipment. 3. Removing, cleaning, transporting, and disposing of one existing approximately 4,000-gallon single-wall steel underground diesel storage tank and associated piping. 4. Performing the required underground storage tank site assessment. 5. Performing environmental response and remediation if evidence of a petroleum release is encountered. 6. Obtaining applicable regulatory closure documentation. 7. Furnishing and installing one new nominal 300 kW natural-gas-fueled standby engine-generator. 8. Furnishing and installing one new automatic transfer switch. 9. Furnishing and installing six solid-state reduced-voltage soft starters for the existing 60 hp sewage pump motors. 10. Providing all required natural gas, cooling water, exhaust, ventilation, electrical, control , structural , and plumbing modifications. 11. Removing the existing generator and installing the new generator through the existing approximately 62-inch-by-62-inch access hatch or modifying to accomplish. 12. Restoring the driveway, concrete, drainage, pavement, landscaping, and other disturbed improvements. 13. Performing startup, commissioning, load testing, operator training, and delivery of record documentation.
