Remodel interior floors, walls, ceilings, doors, and restrooms at the VA Medical Center. Work includes preparing approximately 14,000 square feet of existing walls for a Level 4 finish and painting; painting door trim in corridors; demolition and replacement of existing ceiling grid systems and ceiling tiles; conversion of existing 2x4 ceiling systems to 2x2 systems; removal and replacement of carpet and flooring; asbestos flooring abatement on Floor 5; installation of new flooring with smooth transitions between rooms and corridors; removal and replacement of vinyl wall base trim; and renovation of restroom components including sinks, toilets, piping, and tile finishes. Work also includes protecting and reinstalling wall-mounted items, relocating furniture as necessary, and reinstalling all ceiling-mounted devices in their original locations. Construction will be performed in occupied facilities and requires Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Level III containment. All work is scheduled during evening, weekend, and holiday periods to minimize disruption to facility operations.
