he Town is of Yarmouth is requesting bids for the following: The cement walkway in the waste drop area is in need of repair at the Sanitation Disposal area. The Town of Yarmouth is seeking qualified contractors to repair the concrete walkway Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, excavation, restoration, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace damaged concrete sidewalks, walkways, and associated appurtenances at locations designated by the Owner. 1. Removal and replacement of concrete in deteriorating condition Saw cutting of areas identified approx. 700 sq ft of removal to a 6" depth Demolition of existing concrete slab & proper disposal (Town to dispose of this material) Drill & pin repair areas to existing slab Furnish & install all rebar as needed O 6x6 W2.9/W2.9 welded wire mesh, or #4 rebar at 18-inch centers. Furnish & install 4,000 psi concrete mix at 28 days, (inspected with report to Town) in slab as direct replacement for areas cut & o Final surface shall be smooth and uniformly gradedLinear Crack repairs This work shall consist of cleaning, preparing, and sealing linear cracks in existing concrete sidewalks, walkways, and pedestrian surfaces as directed by the Owner. Crack repair is intended to prevent water infiltration, reduce freeze-thaw deterioration, and eliminate minor trip hazards where full replacement is not warranted. Crack Evaluation: The Owner shall determine whether cracks are suitable for repair or require panel replacement. Cracks shall be repaired only when: o The sidewalk panel remains structurally sound. Vertical displacement is less than 1/4 inch . Crack width is between 1/16 inch and 1 inch. No evidence of substantial settlement, heaving, or structural failure exists. Cracks exhibiting significant movement, displacement exceeding 1/4 inch, or associated with failed panels shall be removed and replaced under applicable sidewalk replacement items . For cracks 1/4 inch wide or greater: o Hot-pour rubberized crack sealant conforming to ASTM D6690, Type II. Color shall closely match existing concrete where feasible. Non-Sag Concrete Joint Sealant For vertical or narrow crack applications: Polyurethane sealant meeting ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25 or better Project Number IFB-27-DPW-014 Estimated Cost $&48000 Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
