The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit competitive bid proposals from qualified, licensed asphalt paving contractors to perform parking lot reconstruction and resurfacing services in the vicinity of 418 Little Pines Road, within the exterior boundaries of the Lac du Flambeau Reservation . The successful bidder will furnish the necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the required work as outlined in the "Scope of Work" portion of this RFP, and as depicted on the plans and drawings attached hereto and made a part hereof as though fully set forth. The project will include, but not be limited to, removal and proper disposal of approximately 5870 tons of existing asphalt, sub-base repair and stabilization, application of two layers of new asphalt compacted to standards prevalent in the industry, striping and marking, and reclamation of specific areas to better define the parking lot, redirect and limit vehicular traffic, and increase safety. All work must be performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, codes and standards in the industry. The objective of this project is to have a safer reconfigured parking area with an asphalt surface that is durable, resistant to thermal cracking, long lasting, visually appealing, and that will not pond water.
