Renovation of gym locker room including replacement of existing tiles, installation of new benches, relocation of shelving units, and upgrades to the existing HVAC system. The US Army Corp of Engineers has requested a Task Order to renovate an approximately 1,800-square-foot gym locker room to improve condition, functionality, and serviceability. The project includes replacement of existing tiles, installation of new benches, relocation of approximately 20 shelving units, and upgrades to the existing HVAC system. located in Bldg 2596, located at Humphery Engineers Center, Alexandria, VA 22315. Work includes, but is not limited to: A.2 The contractor shall perform the following tasks. Protect adjacent areas and existing facilities. Remove and properly dispose of existing floor and wall tile as required. Prepare existing surfaces for new finishes. Furnish and install new commercial-grade, slip-resistant floor tile throughout approximately 1,800 SF. Furnish and install new wall tile in designated wet/locker-room areas. Provide new grout, caulking, transitions, and associated accessories. Repair damaged substrates discovered during demolition as necessary. Remove existing benches. Furnish and install new commercial-grade locker-room benches. Repair and finish surfaces disturbed during construction. Provide final cleaning of the renovated area.
