Add to the existing first-level storage cage system located within the warehouse mezzanine of Bldg. 3245. The US Army Corps of Engineers has a customer requirement to add to the existing firstlevel storage cage system located within the warehouse mezzanine of Bldg 3245. The Government has previously procured the materials necessary to construct a second level of storage cages. These materials are currently stored in two (2) Government-owned CONEX containers located adjacent to the building. The Government requires a Contractor to furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and incidental materials necessary to inventory, assemble, install, and place into service the second-level storage cage system in accordance with Government-furnished design drawings, located in the building 3245 at Davison Army Airfield (DAAF), Fort Belvoir, Virginia. 2.0 Scope of Work The Contractor will furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, lifting devices, transportation, and incidental materials necessary to complete the work described herein. The Contractor will perform the following tasks: 2.1 Pre-Construction Attend a site visit with the Government. Verify field conditions and dimensions. Review Government-furnished drawings. Notify the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) of any discrepancies prior to beginning work. Verify that existing conditions are suitable for installation. 2.2 Material Assessment The Contractor will: Unload all Government-furnished storage cage materials from two (2) CONEX containers. Inventory and sort all components. Verify that all required materials are available for installation. Notify the Government immediately of any missing or damaged materials. Stage materials in a government-approved laydown area 2.3 Storage Cage Installation The Contractor will: Assemble and install approximately eighty-five (85) second-level storage cages above the existing mezzanine. Integrate the new cage system with the existing first-level cages. Ensure all framing, panels, doors, and hardware are securely installed, plumb, level , and fully operational. Adjust all doors and hardware to ensure proper operation. 2.4 Project Closeout Upon completion, the Contractor will: Remove all construction debris and unused materials. Clean the work area. Provide a one-year warranty on workmanship. 3.0 Government-Furnished Property The Government will provide: Storage cage materials. Design drawings. CAD backgrounds for as-built drawings.
