The City of Blue Springs, Missouri (hereafter referred to as "the City") is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to complete demolition,concrete surface preparation, and tile installation in the designated project area at City Hall. Deadline for questions September 16, 2026 :- Any questions regarding this Request for Proposal shall be submitted to Derek Mayden by email at dmayden@bluespringsmo.gov or by phone at 816-228-0222 The City of Blue Springs is seeking a qualified contractor to remove the existing flooring in the designated project area at City Hall and install new tile over the existing concrete subfloor. The work area is approximately 620 square feet. The contractor shall remove and legally dispose of the existing flooring, adhesives, setting materials, debris, and other materials necessary to expose the concrete surface. After demolition, the contractor shall prepare the concrete subfloor as needed to provide a clean, sound , level , and suitable surface for tile installation. Surface preparation shall include removal of remaining adhesive or residue and repair or treatment of minor surface conditions that would prevent proper tile installation. Any significant concrete damage or conditions requiring work outside the proposed scope shall be brought to the City's attention before proceeding. The contractor shall install tile selected by the City of Blue Springs after a contractor has been chosen. Tile selection shall be bid using a $ 5.00 per square foot material allowance. If the City selects tile exceeding the $ 5.00 per square foot allowance, the City understands the difference will be an additional cost. Installation shall include all required setting materials, grout, transitions, trims, sealants, and related materials necessary for a complete installation. The base around the bottom of adjoining walls shall be tile wall base matching the selected floor tile. The contractor shall field verify all dimensions and quantities before ordering materials or beginning work. The work area is approximately 620 square feet.
