PLEASE NOTE: This project REQUIRES MassDOT prequalification to submit a bid. If you are not on MassDOT prequalification list at the time of the bid opening, your bid will NOT be accepted. Every general bid and every sub-bid shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashiers check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company having offices in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The proposal guaranty for general bids and sub-bids shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Checks and bid bonds shall be made payable to the City of Chicopee, Massachusetts. A performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract will be required of the successful bidder. Attorney-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file with each Bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney. Minimum wage rates have been established for this project by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Proposals or to accept any Proposal which in their opinion, is in the best interest of the City of Chicopee, Massachusetts, whether or not such Proposal is the lowest bid. No oral interpretations will be made to any bidder as to the meaning of the drawings and specifications. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing by a general bidder designated and addressed and forwarded to Steven J.
