Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Loreburn, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
The Loreburn Recreation Board invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for the replacement of the existing metal roof and exterior wall cladding (re-tinning) of the Loreburn Arena.Originally constructed in the 1960s, the proposed project is intended to renew the building envelope, improve weather resistance, and extend the service life of the facility. The Loreburn Rec Board is actively pursuing fundraising and grant opportunities to support the project, with construction anticipated to begin in 2027. Documents are available at www.sasktenders.ca The work shall generally include: Removal and disposal of existing roof and exterior wall cladding, Inspection of accessible framing, Repair or replacement of deteriorated structural members where required and approved, Installation of new metal roof and exterior wall panels, Installation of new flashings, trims, sealants, closures, and fasteners, Installation of snow retention devices where required, Replacement of damaged insulation where identified and approved, Completion of all work necessary to provide a weather-tight building envelope, Obtain permits if required and Complete cleanup and removal of construction debris from the site.
